There is a rather big collection of plants from Eastern Turkestan in Sweden. It was Carl Persson one of the missionaries who brought them to Sweden, and they are kept in "Riksmuséets botaniska samlingar" in Stockholm. It is about 500-600 plants, and in one newspaper "LAND" printed 1938 there is a catalogue. It could be interesting if there is somebody who wants to do research on the changes in environment in ET.

At the Peoples' Museum in Stockholm, Sweden, there are more than 900 different things from ET. Those 900 things are in the collections made by three missionaries. Among other things a collection with all the medicines an Uyghur doctor used in the beginning of the 20th Century. It is also written when to use those different medicines. There could be more collections made by missionaries, and there are some things from Sven Hedin's journeys to ET. At the Peoples' Museum they also have a collection with archaeological material from Khotan.

Talking about collections there are also many things in Helsinki because there was a man Mannerheim who brought many things from ET to Finland. He worked for the Russians in Kashgar about 1906-1907. The Swedish missionary Raquette helped him to buy two very old religious books from Khotan and those books are in Helsinki and of course many other things. In fact they made a great exhibition in Finland in 2000 about Mannerheim and showed a lot of interesting things from ET to the public.
